CRASH (Comics for LGBTQIA+ anti-discrimination and inclusion) comes from the need of giving voice to a minority group, the LGBTQIA+ community, which is experiencing discrimination and violence based on sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics in various contexts such as, at work, school; at restaurants, bars and shops; in accessing housing, healthcare or social services. CRASH wants to raise awareness, give visibility and a proper space of representation to the LGBTQIA+ community, by selecting young LGBTQIA+ artists, training them, giving them funds to co-create a queer-themed comic, and disseminating their work.

The idea has been designed and developed by Tree with 2 partners, including a social enterprise and an association mainly formed by gender-diverse youths, their parents, and professionals with expertise in gender-diverse issues. The proposal has been accepted for funding by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ funding instrument and the project will run until February 2024.

During the project’s execution, Tree leads the design and development of the project’s engagement strategy, delivering the following:

  • Project visual identity
  • Online and Offline deliverables (communication materials)
  • Website
  • Social media strategy
  • Multimedia content (infographics and videos)
